The Wine Experience is the pioneer of Wine Tours in Uruguay and proud to be Number 1 on Trip Advisor for 12 years running. We designed this experience specifically for Food & Wine Lovers, who love to taste new and interesting wines. You will be received and guided by a winery expert. You will get to see the vineyard, winery and cellar followed by a Gourmet Lunch paired with wines. This is more of an educational experience for those new to wine or for avid wine enthusiasts. You will learn about Tannat, Uruguay's flagship grape now known as the healthiest red wine in the world.
We always keep in mind that you have travelled from afar to experience something special. Together with our small team, our goal is to make it as personable as possible (like hanging out with a new friend). Reviews
Our driver, Matias, was friendly and punctual, and we got to sit with him during our tasting and lunch. The wine tour itself was very educational, and everyone spoke amazing English. There was no shortage of wine - there was a glass of sparkling wine waiting for us when we got there, and they were generous about extra pours during the tasting. The food was phenomenal, and each course came with it's own wine pairing. The vineyard also had a list of where their wines were sold in the US, so you didn't feel obligated to buy a bottle and travel with it. Overall, a beautiful winery and lovely day!
The lunch was very good and the wine was very nice.
