Alberto was a very knowledgeable guide. He was extremely attentive to my needs and made sure that the tour was indeed tailored to my interests. His English is perfect so I was able to understand everything!
Great Walking Tour

My cruise ship only offered city tours on a bus, so I went looking for a walking tour of the historic district and found this tour. Alberto was awesome in communicating and working with me on when to meet up and what my interests were. I was not clear on the idea that this was a private tour so I was delighted to have Alberto as my private guide. Alberto speaks impeccable English which was a plus as an American. If you are looking for a walking tour I highly recommend this tour. He got me back to the ship right at all aboard, though my insistence to purchase a tee shirt after we parted had me running to the port!
Alberto's walking tour provides a great insight into the history and culture of Montevideo

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our private guided walking tour of this fascinating city. Alberto is a knowledgeable and very personable guide who speaks excellent English. We booked the tour online to coincide with our day in port during a cruise. Alberto provided us with clear directions to the meeting place near the cruise terminal and was waiting for us at the agreed time. Over the course of a couple of hours or so walking we visited all of the interesting locations learning about the history and culture of this fascinating city. He was happy to answer all of our questions and he gave us an insider's view of life in the city which is his home. Excellent value for money.
The interesting conversation with Carlos.

This was one of the most joyful experience. Our guide, Carlos A. Franco Ruiz is very knowledgeable and interesting. He showed us aside from the regular sites, all these interesting places that are off the beaten track. All of us enjoyed his company and knowledge. Thanks Carlos.
Very good introduction to the heart of Montevideo

A few months before our visit we booked an Old City half day tour with Alberto. We paid $50 total for the two of us via Paypal. Directions to the meeting point were clear and easy to follow, just about two blocks from the cruise port exit. Alberto was exactly on time. We had six people in our group (he said he limits groups to 10) and were able to hear his commentary throughout. We went through the Old City, a series of three public squares, and ended at the Plaza Independencia area with Teatro Solis and Palacio Salvo. Alberto was very knowledgeable about Montevideo's history and current goings-on. He grew up on Long Island in New York, so his English is perfect. We were very pleased with the experience.
